Leslie Howard to Compete in The Top Ten Final in Geneva

Leslie Howard of Westport, CT, will be competing in the Top Ten Final at
CSI-W Geneva, Switzerland, December 12 - 15, 2002, rated as the best indoor
show of the season.

This year is the second edition of the Top Ten Final,
open to the best 10 riders of the FEI/Gandini World Jumping Rankings. The
Final will take place on Saturday evening where five nations will be
represented. Leslie Howard, currently ranked in 11th position on the
FEI/Gandini World Jumping Rankings, moved into 10th position for this class
after a higher ranked rider notified the FEI of his non-participation.
Howard will be the only lady rider and the only overseas rider competing in
the Final.


The participating field is confirmed as follows:

4. Marcus Ehning (GER)
5. Otto Becker (GER)
6. Jos Lansink (BEL)

10. Leslie Howard (USA)


First reserve is Sydney Olympic champion Jeroen Dubbeldam (NED).

In addition to the Jumping World Cup class, the Geneva Organizing Committee
has decided to include in it's program this year, a leg of the Driving World
Cup which will be held on Sunday, December 15th. U.S. driver, Chester
Weber, currently ranked in 5th position on the Standings for the Indoor
World Cup Season 2002/2003, will be competing there with his Four-in-Hand.
