Ainsley Vince Tops Jump Canada Series

Ainsley Vince of Milton, ON, aboard Catch 22, an 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding owned by Trinity Farms, remain the leaders in the Jump Canada Standings following the final stop on the tour at the Royal Winter Fair. In the $60,000 World Cup Grand Prix, presented by Jaguar, Vince added another 17 points to her total and finished with 274.35 over the season in the national series.


Cudmore Captures Canadian League World Cup Standings

After a season of tough competition, Karen Cudmore, originally of Victoria, BC, and now based in Omaha, Nebraska, has captured first place in the Canadian League World Cup Standings with an outstanding 58 points riding the nine-year-old Holsteiner stallion Conejo, owned by her husband and coach Blair Cudmore.

Espresso Thyme Takes Both Feature Classes at Palgrave May 11-12, 2002

Yann Candele of France and his speedy partner, Espresso Thyme, won both the $10,000 Open Welcome and the $25,000 Grand Prix at the Classic @ Palgrave (Phase 1). The Classic, held at the Caledon Equestrian Park in Palgrave, Ontario from May 8 – 12, was plagued by grey skies, rain showers and Arctic winds.

In the East Coast standings, Norman Dello Joio of Wellington, FL leads the way, and on the West Coast, Misti Cassar of Hidden Valley, CA, and Richard Spooner of Glendale, CA, are tied for the top spot.

U.S. riders, drivers and vaulters won a total of eight medals, doubling the U.S.’s best previous performance.


US Show Jumping Riders Off to a Good Start in the European Indoor Circuit

Five riders representing the United States participated at the first European indoor show of the season at CSI-A Bremen (GER), October 3 - 6. Clare Bronfman fared the best on Lord William (Lord Caletto - Rocky, by Rousseau), her Westphalian gelding, placing second in the Der Joker competition and second in another class aboard her Selle Francais gelding,
Enchante (Kessel II). In the team trophy class the US team finished 3rd behind Holland and Germany.
