CIC Eventing World Cup Successful in 2002

The CIC World Cup had a very successful launch in 2002. The first final will be held in Pau (FRA) on October 2003.


Pan American Games 2003 Preparation

At the recent FEI Bureau meeting, held November 6-7 in Moscow Russia, the Chairman of Group V made a presentation on the preparation of the Pan-American Games to be held in August 2003 in Santo Domingo (DOM). USA Equestrian announced today that Lexus Automotive has joined the 2002 Radnor Hunt International Three-Day-Event as Champion Automotive Sponsor. The Radnor Hunt International Three-Day-Event takes place October 10-13 at the Radnor Hunt in Malvern, PA.


Canadians Fare Well at Fair Hill

Hawley Bennett of Langley, BC, riding her own horse Livingstone, was the top Canadian, finishing in 14th place, at the prestigious CCI*** Fair Hill International in Elkton, MD, on Oct. 24-27, 2002.


USET Honors 2002 Champions

The United States Equestrian Team (USET) named champions in dressage, driving, endurance, eventing, reining, and show jumping in 2002. The USET commends all equestrian athletes in America for their outstanding 2002 achievements.


Crabo and McEvoy Victorious at Galway Downs

Barbara Crabo of Scottsdale, Arizona, riding Groovy (Thoroughbred: Pencil Point x Round A Note, by Tell), won the Richard D. Collins Trophy for the USA National One Star Eventing Championship, held at the Jaguar Select Edition Three-Day Event and Horse Trials at Galway Downs in Temecula, California, October 31 - November 3.


USA Equestrian Announces Eventing Forum on Future of Eventing in Olympic Games

USA Equestrian will host a Forum during the CCI** Radnor, October 9, 2003 to discuss the FEI Proposal to the IOC to Retain Eventing in the Olympic Program. We invite all riders, owners, and officials involved in Eventing at the International level to attend. The Forum will be held at 6 p.m. EDT at the Radnor Club.


2003 Canadian Eventing Talent Squad Named

Canadian Eventing has named its Talent Squad for 2003. The riders selected have demonstrated, by their performance results, achievement of a top third placing in an international one star three day event, or the completion of a two star international three day event during the 2002 competitive season.


2002 Eventing Athlete Development Scholarships Announced

Jenna Brownjohn of Maple Ridge, BC, Jessica Ferguson of Uxbridge, ON, and Colleen Loach of North Hatley, PQ, are the 2002 recipients of the Eventing Athlete Development Scholarships. Awarded annually by the Canadian Eventing Committee, the scholarships are designed to help offset training and competition costs.


Top Eventing & Dressage Rider Lucinda Fredericks Becomes Australian Citizen

Lucinda Fredericks (nee Murray), wife of UK-based Eventing rider Clayton Fredericks, finally received her Certificate of Australian Citizenship last weekend. Lucinda will now "officially" be able to ride for Australia. Lucinda has had FEI permission to start under our flag for some time, because of her Permanent Resident status.
