USA Equestrian And The United States Dressage Federation Reach Agreement Regarding Horse Identification Requirements

USA Equestrian and The United States Dressage Federation have reached an agreement that will allow a seamless transition for individuals who have horses that are recorded with USDF and are competing in USA Equestrian recognized competition to comply with the requirement of USA Equestrian Article 811.


USA's Lisa Wilcox Dominates CDI*** Oldenburg

Lisa Wilcox, member of the Silver Medal dressage team at the World
Equestrian Games in Spain, won all the FEI-level classes at the
Internationale Oldenburger Pferdetage held November 8-10, in Oldenburg,
Germany. She led the Grand Prix by a sizeable margin aboard Relevant with an
impressive score of 78.20%. Anky Van Grunsven (NED), Sydney Olympic Gold
Medal winner, finished second with a 71.45% riding Gestion Krack C. Wilcox
is currently ranked 4th on the FEI/BCM Rankings.


Shannon Dueck Shines in Swarovski Canadian League World Cup Final

In a stunning performance, Shannon Dueck of Langley, BC, won the Swarovski Canadian League Dressage World Cup Final at the Royal Horse Show. In front of a sold-out crowd, Dueck performed her musical freestyle to classical music, earning the evening’s highest score, 69.87%. The win earned Dueck a trip to the 2003 World Cup Final in Goteborg, Sweden, next March.


Shannon Dueck & Korona Win Grand Prix at Royal Winter Fair

Shannon Dueck aboard her horse Korona, a 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood, won the first leg of the Swarovski Canadian League World Cup Final. The pair were awarded a 65.36% from the judges to place them first going into the final competition, the Freestyle, being held the evening of November 14th.


USET’s History-Making World Equestrian Games Performance To Be Shown on Outdoor Life Network

The history-making performance of the United States Equestrian Team (USET) at the 2002 World Equestrian Games in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, will be shown on television in early December. U.S. riders, drivers and vaulters won a total of eight medals, doubling the U.S.’s best previous performance.


U.S. Grand Prix Freestyle Championship

The 2002-2003 U.S. Grand Prix Freestyle Championship/U.S. League Final will
be held in conjunction with the Miami Dade Winter Dressage CDI***. This
event will be held at the Tropical Park Equestrian Center in Miami, Florida
from February 21 - 23, 2003.

The Dressage Canada Board recently announced that effective January 1, 2003, the dressage tests for use in competitions will be the new, recently adopted USA Equestrian Inc. 2003 tests.


Spain's WEG Team Bronze Medal Dressage Rider Rafael Soto To Give First Clinic in the USA

Rafael Soto, rider at The World Equestrian Games and Director of riders at the Royal School of Equestrian Art in Jerez, Spain will be coming to the United States for the first time to give a special symposium. Soto will lead a symposium for all levels of horses from training through Grand Prix.


Diary of a Dressage Judge - The European Young Riders Dressage Championships

Canada's FEI “I” judge Lorraine MacDonald recently officiated at the European Young Rider Dressage Championships held July in Pratoni del Vivaro, Italy. The competition, which ran from Tuesday to Sunday with two rings and five judges on each ring, saw some of the best horse/rider combinations across Europe compete for the coveted Gold Medal.


World Cup Dressage Update

The last of the 2002/2003 Central European league World Cup qualifiers was held in Kaposvar, Hungary on 13 October 2002.
