2004 Canadian Dressage Olympic Final Selection Trials Move to Blainville, Quebec

After an exciting weekend of competition at York Equestrian Centre June 18th – 20th, Olympic focus will now shift to Blainville, Quebec where the second and final selection trial is slated for June 30th – July 3rd.

Cindy Ishoy and Proton put in another stellar performance this weekend, this time in the Grand Prix Freestyle. A packed audience of over 700 people filled the indoor arena at York Equestrian Centre in Cedar Valley Ontario in order to see one of Canada’s most decorated riders perform her new freestyle.

Belinda Trussell & Royan II Make World Cup Final Debut

Belinda Trussell and Royan II represented Canada at the 2004 World Cup Finals held April 1-4 in Dusseldorf, Germany. Against some very fierce competition, the pair rode a mistake-free test to finish 16th in the Grand Prix class with a score of 64.666%, missing the Section A finals by only 2.04%.


Canadians Win Big at Zada Enterprises, LLC Florida Classic

Canadian dressage riders continue their winning streak in Florida, this time winning big at the Zada Enterprises, LLC Florida Dressage Classic held February 19-22, 2004 in Wellington, Florida.

In Memory of Götz Weber Stephan

Mr Götz Weber Stephan (GER), Official FEI Judge in Dressage passed away on December 27, 2002 at the age of 60.


Canadian Success at Dressage at Devon

Tom Dvorak started the competition by winning a Prix St. Georges class on Susan Platz's Westside Lady. Cindy Ishoy and Proton came second in both the Grand Prix (for freestyle) and the Grand Prix Freestyle.


Individual Pan Am Gold For Canada’s Leslie Reid in Dressage

Canada’s Leslie Reid captured the individual gold medal in the equestrian sport of dressage on Sunday at the 2003 Pan American Games. Mexico’s Bernadette Pujals took the silver while Santo Domingo’s own Yvonne Losos de Muñiz earned the individual bronze in her first-ever Pan American Games competition.
