USA Region 2 Wins Team Gold Medal in Dressage at 2005 NAYRC

USA Region 2 won the team Gold Medal in dressage at the 2005 CN North American Young Riders’ Championships (NAYRC) presented by Adequan.  The 2005 NAYRC are being held at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, VA, the Championships’ first appearance in the mid-Atlantic region.


Sweden Awarded Second Bronze Medal

Although the Spanish team was originally given the Team Bronze medal at the 2005 FEI European Championships, Spain requested that the FEI Dressage Committee tie the place for the bronze medal for Spain and Sweden.


Anky Wins GPS at 2005 FEI European Dressage Championship

The Grand Prix Special class of the 2005 FEI European Dressage Championship in Hagen was won by Anky van Grunsven (NED) on Keltec Salinero with a result of 76.160%. She is followed by home rider Hubertus Schmidt on Wansuela Suerte (75.720%) and Britain’s Carl Hester on Escapado (74.720%).

IOC Votes to Keep Equestrian in Olympic Programme

The 117th IOC Session reviewed the Olympic Programme for 2012 today. A vote was carried out sport by sport according to the order that the sports appear in rule 46 of the Olympic Charter, with members voting to decide which sport should be included in the Olympic Programme for 2012.
